Sikinos offers fantastic, crystal-clear deep blue waters, a relaxing atmosphere, quiet beaches, and a rugged natural landscape. You can reach the three main beaches by car; they all feature free umbrellas provided by the Municipality of Sikinos.
Alopronia Beach
Location: 3 km from Chora
Description: Alopronia is a large, sandy beach equipped with benches and umbrellas. It is an ideal destination for families and children. Accessible by bus or car, it features a large parking area. A café/bar, a tavern, and a mini-market are located near the beach.
Malta Beach
Location: 3.7 km from Chora by car, followed by a 2.5 km walk.
Description: Maltas Beach is a cove featuring pebbles and crystal-clear waters. The rocky landscape offers a sense of mental liberation. The beach is accessible by boat—weather permitting—or by car via a dirt road, after which hiking enthusiasts can follow the trail leading down to the shore. It is not recommended for families or visitors with mobility issues.
Agios Georgios Beach
Location: 6 km from Chora
Description: Agios Georgios is the island’s most popular beach. A sandy shore, crystal-clear waters, tamarisk trees, and small pebbles create a lovely setting for relaxation. Rocky areas at both ends of the beach are ideal for diving. The beach is accessible by bus or car; it features a parking area and a seaside fish tavern—perfect for a day by the sea.
Dialiskari Beach
Location: 2.3 km (including 200m of dirt road) from Alopronia; 2.8 km (including 200m of dirt road) from Chora.
Description: Dialiskari Beach is accessible by car via a dirt road. For adventurous visitors, it is also accessible on foot. It is a wonderful small cove featuring a sandy beach and a beautiful natural rocky landscape.
